Certainly the history of Valradio includes some pioneering innovations in the power supply field. The company was founded by electrical and electronic wizard
Victor Valchera who invented the electromagnetic vibratory rectifier used to make AC-DC converters. Through this invention, Valradio became one of the first UK company to make DC-AC converters – Valradio vibrator converters providing an efficient and economical AC mains supply from 12V to 220V DC sources and radio equipments.
Next came the introduction of long life vibrators, developed and perfected by the company during the course of its first 25 years. As a result Valradio vibrator converters were used to operate a diverse range of appliances such as tape recorders, radio converters, radio receivers, television sets, electric typewriters, dictating machines and many electric tools in those years.
Back in the early 1960s, the company also introduced Mirrascope projection television – a then revolutionary mode of home viewing which consisted of a large flat cathode tube of high optical quality.
Innovations like Mirrascope Projection Television not withstanding, Valradio’s forte has always been power electronics with the emphasis on the continuous development of many different types of electrical and electronic power conversion equipment and system-initially through the use of electromagnetic vibrators, electronic valves, semiconductors and then by MOSFET , IGBT and sophisticated microprocessors and by using different technologies.

In recent years, Valradio has become international in scope, marketing products throughout the world. We are in the process of establishing facilities in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Far East, USA and Canada .
We offer a service contract tailored to meet customers’ needs. These can be from annual inspections to complete cover for all parts along with a guarantee to respond within a set time. Smaller units or systems can be returned to us for repair or replacement. We carry out installation and commissioning of UPS systems through our network.
